Just rumors at this point, but there are rumors that Disney+ is developing a sequel to Rebels-maybe a "search for Ezra" kind of thing. It'd be interesting if it took place during the sequel trilogy, since there seem to be hints that Hera and co. are active during that era.

Another is that the Doctor Aphra series will actually be animated. Given that her solo comic series was generally drawn more cartoonish than her appearences in Vader, I think that might be a good fit.

The search for Ezra started before Aphra's earliest stories to date (except maybe her college one).

I would like for Disney to get marvel animation right first before going to do star wars. marvel has not had a decent animation since 2011. Clone wars is still going on, star wars does not need more animations.

The search didn't begin until after the Rebels defeated the Empire...the scene at the end of Rebels expressly mentioned the Battle of Endor and the death of the Emperor.

And all of Aphra's stories are so far set between A New Hope and Empire Strikes Back, so she'd presumably still be around after Return of the Jedi which would allow her to possibly help with the search.
