Now that Star Wars is out:

    1. Star Wars (Just like Han shot first the New Hope title is a revision that doesn't belong)

    2. Force Awakens

    3. Empire Strikes Back

    4. Solo

    5. Rise of Skywalker

    6. Rogue One

    7. Revenge of the Sith

    8. Attack of the Clones

    9. Return of the Jedi

    10. Last Jedi

    11. Phantom Menace

I really debated on the last two but I finally put Last Jedi above Phantom simply because the throne room fight in Last Jedi was amazing and the one good thing about the movie that otherwise was sucktacular. Phantom had a good lightsaber fight at the end too but it kept getting cut away from it to show kid Anakin being annoying.

Can you really call that a trilogy when he has made 6 movies? Yeah he took a 20 year break but he did also do Land, Diary, and Survival of the Dead (even if they are all just hot garbage)

    .
Bourne Legacy isn't part of the original trilogy. I think It was more of a spin-off (I never bothered to watch it lol)

    some lesser known horror franchises

    1. wishmaster - decent b-horror movie with some well known horror names like robert england , kane hodder, tony todd etc.
    2. wishmaster ii - so-so but not great straight to video sequel but andrew divoff as the djinn was still good
    3. wishmaster 3 and 4 - god awful turkeyfests , ever wondered why the son of sean connery never made it , watch part 3 to find out, terrible acting and diffferent actors to play the djinn , no more divoff

Wow, I'm scary close to this ranking. I could switch the first two, but close enough.

    LIKE!

Yes that was one franchise where it would have been best to make one movie and then stop and never do anything else with it. It seemed like it became impossible to do anything else with it without contradicting the first movie.
    Power with Girl is better.

    Planet of the Apes
Escape from the Planet of the Apes (even though it had one glaring contradiction of the original)
Battle for the Planet of the Apes
Conquest of the Planet of the Apes
Beneath the Planet of the Apes

Although I've basically given up on the idea that anyone is ever going to make a movie based on the original novel by Pierre Boulle which was the best version.

i would agree in some part ,i enjoyed the first 3. the 4th - hellraiser in space was bad. from the 5th movie to 8th , pinhead became almost a narrator and the movies became psychological thrillers , pinhead coming out only for a short period of time on camera. the 9th and 10th movie doesn't even have doug bradley as pinhead and i hasn't watched those

Part 4 to me is part of a growing personal list of movies, where I see it and like it, but wish there was a better cut. And a better cut would exist if not for studio interference, lost footage, etc. Kevin Yagher directed and shot the movie as a further expansion of the mythos along the lines of Hellbound, and I think some of that still shines though. Miramax came in and "dumbed it down" and in protest Yagher put the Smithee name on it. But not a lot of people know that and see it as just "Pinhead in space". *shrugs* Some fan(s) has created a sort of assembly cut that follows Yagher's original script, using deleted footage they could find and place cards for the footage they couldn't find. It helps but if one is already predisposed against the movie for whatever reason it won't change anyone minds. It'll just make the story flow a little bit better IMO.

    As for the others:

Its my understanding 5-8 were retrofitted to be Hellraiser movies, starting off as different movies altogether. I ranked Deader that high because, in spite of the aforementioned fact, it did the BEST job out of the four to make it fit into the saga. I liked that it tied into Hellraiser 4 (the antagonist was a descendant of the Toymaker). I liked that it touched on the fact that yes word of the Puzzle Box would create a cult, but they didn't go as far as I wanted them to with it. Hellworld did the worst job but at least it wasn't boring, Inferno was boring and was trying to be more of a spiritual sequel to Jacob's Ladder oddly enough. Hellseeker...meh it was cool seeing Kirsty again but that's the only real draw of the movie. Judgement was an interesting effort and attempted to expand the mythos, putting angels in the mix. Revelations was a quicky cash grab to hold on to the rights but, in spite of that, is actually pretty watchable.
