Retro Rangers vs Psycho Rangers

The Retro Rangers (Adam, Tori, Bridge, Xander and Kira) take on the most terrifying team of evil Rangers in history, the Psycho Rangers.

Adam has the Black Ranger powers and the Defender Vest.

Bridge has his battilizer.

Kira can use Super Dino Mode.

Xander can use Legend Mode.

The Psychos are pretty damn powerful. I don't remember a single one of them ever losing a direct fight one on one with any other Ranger so if it's even numbers then I give it to the Psychos.

yep. the psychos almost always had the ranger's number on every occasion. the only reasons why they eventually lost was due to the rangers using cleaver tactics and the psycho's inability to really work together, as well as their homicidal desire to murder their colored counterpart.

I love-love-love their final battle. It took *two* teams of Rangers to eventually put them down -- and Pink still managed to get away and had to be put down by two primary Megazords (no secondary/Sixth Ranger Megazords here!), her actions leading to the death of the Pink Galaxy Ranger (who wasn't even her rival).

I really love villain teams where each one is team-wrecker in their own right. The Psycho Rangers definitely qualify. Plus, if you defeat their Ranger forms, they "demorph" into their more powerful monster form.

yep. the psychos lived up their names. in their first two battles against the rangers, they CLEANED THEIR CLOCKS! if astromina hadn't called them back the second time, i really think they would've killed the space rangers.

Probably because she was the most psycho, so to speak, outside Blue, who was literally Ax-Crazy, and with great psychosis, in this case, would come great power. That said, to crib from TV Tropes again, Sanity Has Advantages, which was why the Power Rangers ultimately won.

Thinking about it, would the fact that none of their normal "Counterparts" are present give the Retro Rangers the same kind of advantage that the Space Rangers got when they swtiched things up?

Yeah, if they go into their power up modes right away, Defender Vest, Battlizer, Super Dino Mode, Legend Mode and Adam can direct their tactics, I think they've got a good chance.
Mostly because of the Battlizer's raw power. But it's still an uphill fight just because of the speed and power of the Psychos. If we are to assume that, this being a Rumbles match, that the Psychos are working together then it's even worse for the team.

As a quick question, are we counting the Boom Comic canon for the purposes of the thread? Because their lessons in teamwork in Psycho Path combined with Rumbles Bloodlust would be downright scary.

Didn't Zane manage to single handely drive them away of a couple of ocasions. Granted being a sixth ranger means he's likley a sep or two above his team mates.

Only because the Psycho Rangers were built with data based on their matching color coded target (kinda like DC's Prometheus), and they didn't have info on him.

But once they knew him and Silver started fighting them alongside the other Rangers, he fared just as badly as the rest of the team towards the later parts of the arc.
