We're all just a bunch of complicated animals fighting for control of the same forest.

Just a reminder, in hopes that fans will allow all this to unfold further, and not be so quick to pass judgement prematurely. Beyond that, to remember also the more primal, visceral views of those like Wolverine, from the image & quote above.
Still there's no answer to why it won't be the next Genosha.
And that's my main issue with Hocus Pocus, to make it work, you have to ignore everything that happened before because the idea they knew Genosha'n genocide will happen and did nothing to prevent it, is pretty mind boggling.
Yes, at first glance, that could be viewed as a pretty significant wrinkle in this WIP tapestry. But how do we know that they knew the Genoshan genocide would happen? Had it happened before, in any of Moira's previous 9 lives?

The new status quo have pretty much ignored any of the significant recent dystopian consequences happened to X-Men IIRC. It's not only Genosha. I think they are trying to retcon it and start it from Pre-Genosha.
P.S:Although they did show a flashback of Phoenix Five on panel.
My interpretation is that they knew but decided to let it happen a) So that it would show all mutants what was in store for them if they didn't ALL unite and b) because they would eventually be able to bring all 16 million back
Which would mean that they also knew about Wanda's genocide and did nothing about it. That means Destiny and Mystique knew all along as well.
Hickman's story gives me the impression that Moira has dedicated her lives to making the necessary tweaks to ensure that mutants are not wiped out by humans. She was successful. She did see a future wears mutants outlive homo sapiens. They don't outlive homo novissima tho.
Moira was careful not to tweak too much. If she could avoid Genosha then why not go and tweak the conditioning that made Magneto who he is? Why not stop Jean from witnessing her friends death? Why not stop Ororo's parents from dying?
Moira's decisions have clear implications for her life and that connections she has with both Xavier and Magneto.
I hope they address how unethical it is to resurrect 16 million people without their consent.
