    Mutant Magic and apocalypse.
Krakoa itself as a location is fun and interesting.
Moira. I wonder what her plan is.

Pretty much loving everything so far but my favorites so far are:

    Nimrod the Lesser
    Hordeculture
    Moira X
    The Quiet Council
The Avengers are Firefighters. We're the ones who fly into the blaze, whatever it is. Because we're the ones who
can, so we're the ones who have to.~Captain Marvel

Funnily enough it never felt Apocalypse was into mutant agenda that much. For him the second the mutant was weak, s/he didn't matter. And strength, whether mutant or mutate, is the only thing that should be rewarded. Harbinger of Apocalypse, Sinister (originally), Moses, arguably, Living Monolith, Hulk, Deathbird, none of them are mutants, still they were all as "fit" as mutant can be and very much pawns in his egocentric machinations.

I had only read comics sporadically from 2008-2019 (son born in 2008, daughter in 2010) but this brought me back in. I love the entire concept and bringing everyone together and starting fresh. Never did I ever think an issue of X-Men would focus on Scott, Emma, and Shaw fighting old ladies. It’s just crazy. Are there things I don’t like? Sure. Fallen Angels. But the rest is great.

    - Moira X
    - Resurrection of mutants
    - Chimeras
    - The art (except Fallen Angels)

Pushing the reader out of their comfort zone has been my favorite place. Also giving us a 12 week "I can't wait to see what will happen next" comic to follow. For me HOX/POX was my favorite "tv show" of the year, bar none.

I also think some of the art has been so very good. Not all, but most of it is inspired and beautiful to look at.

Time will tell if all of this was "worth it" but so far I've seen very minimal stumbling (last issues of X-Men and New Mutants are the biggest standouts for me).

    No @#$%&* extinction stories.

Mutants and X-men finally deciding to take the situation seriously and say enough.

    Marauders .

The reaction of fans and readers to the current situation of Scott, Emma, Jean and Logan .

    Best Scenes:

    - Destiny putting Moira in her place.

    - Emma's entrance.

    - Apocalypse arrival on Krakoa.

    - Xavier/Magneto dialogue/narration on as the Quiet Counsel dismisses.

    Cons:

    - The constant partying.

    - Wallpaper characters are still mostly randoms.

    - "X-Men" still feels like a Cyclops and family/friends solo.

Questions: Is this Krakoa the same as the one in Wolverine and the X-Men? It seems like Quentin Quire was able to communicate and they had a friendship.
I too loved that Destiny and Moira scene. And I pretty much agree with all that.

I’m pretty sure this is not the same Krakoa from Wolverine and the X-Men. I’m thinking it’s Krakoa v1.

The whole thing has been a much needed shake up, I've enjoyed so much of it that it'd be hard to pin down one thing but If I had to pick one thing it'd have to be...

the freshness, the lack of extinctioness, the use of characters we haven't seen in years. Moira's twist. X-Women everywhere. The art! The continuity porn between the books.

As one poster stated, I like just about everything from the very onset of Hickman's run from HoX/PoX to the current DoX storylines. I am very much digging the idea of mutants no longer allowing themselves being co-opted by the humans and are FINALLY taking their collective destiny into their own hands, creating their own success on their own terms, and not waiting for flatscans to give permission; not to mention that they are willing to strive for their own success in spite of humankind's continued ignorance, hostility and belligerence.

I love that it essentially picks up where Morrison left off with mutants thriving and having their own culture(s) and societies. It's progression and I am always going to be a staunch supporter of true and organic progression. There's also how mutants are putting the rest of the MU (looking at you, Avengers) on notice, I'm here for it.

Also, they brought back my man Synch and are re-doing X-Force. It doesn't get much better than tht
