They just won't be a priority.

The original shows may be better quality, because they'll have a bigger budget to work with, but they'll undoubtedly be less frequent than they were on DCUniverse.
They'll have more non-superhero stuff to fill up their library.

And while they'll have access to the DCEU films, unless things change, they still won't have the CW shows.
Yet. That's due to a contract signed before HBO Max existed, isn't it?

There's several points to nitpick here:
    1. HBO Max has tons of originals, yes, but that's because they have tons of content creators at once. The idea is to have a large and steady flow of content.
    2. Four titles already, compared to DC Universe only having six in a year? That's actually pretty good progress to be honest. Especially since this has come in less than a year. How long did it take to get four CW shows?
    3. It will have CW shows: Batwoman onward will streaming exclusively there, and there will be a point where the Netflix contract expires and they'll revert to Max.
    4. DC Universe is likely on its last legs, and they can and probably will easily transfer the DCU Originals to Max.
    5. There are rumors of more shows in development such as Question, Lobo, Blue Beetle, Metal Men, and spin-offs from Titans for Hawk and Dove, Red Hood, and Superboy. Considering they came from the same sources for Green Lantern and Strange Adventures...

So I'm feeling pretty good at DC representation on HBO Max.

I have a feeling these dc hbo max shows that are series are going be short shows like 2 or 3 season at most and around 6 to 8 episodes anyway.
Some or most might just be limited series or movies.

Four years. First Arrow launched in 2012, then Flash in 2014, and then they gained two more in 2016 by launching Legends of Tomorrow and picking up Supergirl which CBS had cancelled.

Exactly. Also it’s only been five months since the service was announced. If anything, this is great progress.

The CW shows follow the same rules as any other tv show on a network.
They're optioned to the network to become a show and if they're picked up, that network pays for the show and has broadcasting rights up to the end of the show and often beyond.

CW had a deal in place with Netflix to carry their shows. This contract could very likely expire at some point and HBO could make a bid for the shows if Max is still around (and if HBO Max does really good, maybe CW will seek them out).
But CW would most likely want a streaming service to take all their shows. Which could happen on HBO, as it covers more genres than just superhero.
Not something that could've happened with DCUniverse.

    DC Super Hero High -TBA
    Green Lantern -TBA
    Strange Adventures -TBA
    Doom Patrol -2020
TBA most likely means 2021 or 2022.

And not a single DC animated show or movie listed.

Btw, Green Lantern and Strange Adventures are both by Berlanti Productions (the people that make the CW shows) and DC Super Hero High is by Brownstone Productions (the Pitch Perfect movies and the latest Charlie's Angels film).
So, no Watchmen level stuff just yet.
But still not bad, considering the Berlanti shows on CW tend to do pretty good despite all the criticism.

Berlanti was also involved with Titans and Doom Patrol, just fyi. I don’t think he’ll do much creatively.
