This would have been a good costume for her at the beginning of their career but not for the present day.

Thought I was the only one who remember this costume.

    It was a good look.

Actually I can see that making sense though. I know my favorite color is blue... I own a LOT of blue shirts. I think I look good in blue. When I design a superhero costume... I find it has a serious blue core color. If Selina designed a suit she likes and thinks she looks good in... odds are she'll wear it often in her civilian identity too. Probably completely subconsciously... but it would happen. It would take a lot of specific and intentional thinking to actively dress in a different color than what your instinct goes for.

Batman I can see being very pointed about developing a 'persona' for Bruce Wayne that is distinctly separate... Catwoman? I see her more just grabbing her favorite suit out of the closet.

For everyone? And all the time? A little black dress is one thing. All her dresses being black is another. Most people aren't monochromatic. Characters that once wore an entire palette of colors later wore the colors of their costumes in every outfit (Steph, Jason, Dick, etc.). It bugs me a lot - we all have our pet peeves, and that's one of mine.

Any Batman costume that doesn't have his underoos on over his pants.
Gotta love when nostalgia makes characters look like a joke.

I grew up with them, so I can handle them. Having said that, as an old timer here, I also prefer them gone.

I'm a fan of jeans and t-shirt Superman.
    The old red skirt Supergirl.
New52 Cyborg was probably his best look.
    Knightfall era Tim Drake Robin.
It's outdated af but I'm a sucker for the Riddler's classic question mark onesie.

Bless you both. I feel the same way about Batman (and Superman).

I am glad I am not the only one.
