I really miss the Reborn costume.

Right now I'll put in votes for Raven's first costume and Dick's finger-stripe Nightwing (milder preference). Maybe Steph's first Spoiler. Wally's Rebirth Flash.
I think jeans work better on the Superboys (Conner and Jon) then they do on Clark.

    Re: Superman

The cape, stylized S, and the red/blue/yellow of his ouutfit are too iconic at this point to ever permanently be discarded. Beyond that, it doesn't have to be stuck in the '30s. Clark doesn't wear a fedora anymore, so Supes doesn't have to have the Eugene Sandow look. With that lsaid, the jeans look doesn't do it for me, except as a short-term transitional costume.

I'm not sure if this has been brought up, but I was never a fan of this look for Power Girl.

The S shield in ACTION COMICS No. 1 had already been changed to a triangle from the badge on the cover. And the look of the shield kept changing. So I don't think it's right to hold the creators to their first design concepts when they clearly were developing the design the whole time, until they arrived at an S that was the trademark version.

My personal preference for Superman's design is the one that was virtually the same from the 1950s thru the 1980s.

In terms of the S shield, I want it to have that bubble on the tail. Recent artists have tried to force a change to that classic S and I don't like that.

Other classic costumes I want back:

Robin the Boy Wonder--at least let Dick have his original costume in flashbacks
Black Canary, of course--fishnets, bolo jacket and bustier
Zatanna should also have her fishnets (with top hat and tails)
    Batman's 1970s outfit
    Capt. Marvel's original military outfit
and restore the Legion to their classic designs (1958 - 1988)

Yeah, that was not good. Even the gold one was mildly better. I get they were trying to give her an outfit that befitted her new origin tying her to Atlantis and Arion or something, but everything from the shoulders up was a mistake.

I have to echo both of these. i love Selina's purple costume and long black hair look. I usually just prefer it drawn by someone other than Balent himself (Janin for example made it look great). Less balloon tits and porny poses please.

And Batman's darker, duller looking costume seems to coincide with his generally less pleasant, more dour modern personality. I miss the Dark Knight Detective in a dark blue and gray costume. Kind of getting good vibes that Pattinson will be wearing it.

While I prefer something like TNBA for Barbara as Batgirl, her early New 52 one was pretty good. Far better than the ones she's gotten afterward that make her look 12.

Seconded. I have never understood the appeal of that look for superheroines in general.

If they only had a model try that abomination on to see how it would look in realty, it never would have seen the light of day.

I quite liked her first one, sans the bag. The gray of the 1970s is fine, too. I don't like her in purple, and I don't like the domino. Also don't like that the masked women mostly have giant eye holes while the masked men mostly have the white lenses. Barry is an exception, of course. I prefer less amored looks for most of the Batfam (Jason as a particular exception).

Yeah - fewer arched backs, please, and no need to (almost) impossibly twist them to show butt and boobs. I liked Selina's purple dress with green on it. A dress is totally impractical (though to be fair, she was not originally a cat burglar, despite being called the Cat), but I like having more than one color, like the solid purple or black looks. I guess some texture changes or pockets or whatnot might make it seem less flat, too. And please, never add a tail or whiskers again. I'd also love to see their civilian clothing not color match the costumes so often. I noticed that first in fanfic, then a bit in some 2000s comics, and now cannot unsee it and it bugs me. I love the idea of seeing Selina in evening, casual, or swimwear that is neither purple, black, or (less often) green.

Now that I think about it, I think Batwoman is probably the most prominent Superheroine with the white eyes.

Hear, hear! I LOVED Wildfire’s original and classic design. The recent and current attempts to “upgrade” his look always ended up looking more like a robot than a containment suit.
