Another good issue of Old Man Logan !

    spoilers:
I'm happy that Logan recovered his severed hand and claw, the fight with Kraven was again great and I love how Logan bash Kraven's face at the end lol. Strong writing by Brisson especially Kraven's characterization and his respect for the original Wolverine, also the flashback with Logan's familly was a nice touch. Really good art by Manna too !

So looking at the ending of this issue it looks like Logan wants to go back to the Wastelands for good this time and not just die in our reality. Let's see he now has his severed adamantium's hand and claw, a dose of regenix and he's going to fight the Maestro who happen to possess a time machine.
    end of spoilers

Yeah things are going to get messy

I totally agreed, i think that this issue officially started the climax of the series.

Or at least OML in the 616 universe.

Yeah I'm starting to think that the next series will be an Old Man Logan/Maestro one since those are two popular characters that Marvel wants to utilize in some capacity and the Hulk and Wolverine characters will always be linked no matter which versions they are.

I said it in some pages before, but Wolverine and Hulk share the theme of being an allegory for anger issues when you analyze their story and core concepts.

I'd read about OML and Maestro in the Wastelands.

The Incredible Hulk Vol.1 340 is another great example, i like how Logan tries to be a good leader and for the most part does a competent job, but then gets in a fight with Grey Hulk and felt ashamed by his actions.

I'm not sure if he and Maestro could work together unless that they are in really bad circumstances, that version of Hulk is a little too much like Creed, with a simillar "might makes right" mentality.

But who knows, if Brisson is still on it could be interesting.

I agree, I love this issue by David and McFarlane and it really shows how similar the two characters are. I could see the Old Man working with the Maestro under certain circumstances but he would never trust him.

I'm not sure if you're reading the Old Man Hawkeye serie, but right now it's really great. The writer Ethan Sacks is really doing a great job and Marco Checchetto art is amazing. If not Brisson, I could see them on an Old Man Logan serie taking place in the Wastelands.

Of course if Millar wants to come back, I wouldn't say no either lol.

PAD is an amazing writter, everytime that i read anything written by him, the worst that i had found is solid as a rock, i would love to have him in a formal run with the character.

No i haven't but a lot of people had told me how good it is, so i might i check it at some point.

As for Millar, eh, i am 50/50 with him, Enemy of State and Old Man Logan were entertaining but they aren't my favorites to be honest, he woulnd't be bad choice, just not my first one personally (now if White can bring Duggan that would be another story ).

I think having Old Man Logan and the Maestro travelling throughout the Marvel Multiverse as a sort of "I'm too old for this s**t" awkward buddy road-trip in that dimension-hopping machine the Maestro stole from Dr. Doom would create more opportunities for different types of storylines than just having the two of them staying in the Wastelands. But with a good writer anything can work. I expect an announcement of some sort at the SDCC.

That could be interesting, but yeah I'm sure we're gonna hear more news at SDCC. By the way the 10th and maybe final Old Man Logan TPB just appeared on Amazon, the title is : End of the World.

On a completely different note, I recently picked up Spider-Gwen #20 after hearing it was the first appearance of Wolverine in this universe. For me, the origins of this Wolverine are much better than the origins of the classic version.

Latour was clearly influenced by Blade of the Immortal, but frankly it work well with Logan in my opinion:

Finally got to read the new issue of OML. I enjoyed this short story with Kraven and the savage land. About the speculation involving the Maestro, I don't know if I can see them going back to that well again so soon, although as I type this I do realize Bullseye is in the next issue and that arc was even more recent so who knows.
    You brought back Wolverine

The CBR Community Standards a.k.a how to get along.
