Question "Congratulations," X-Line. You (Probably) Just Got Gwenpool

    "Gwenpool Strikes Back" final issue.

    spoilers:
She might be a mutant now, or is mutant enough to pass for one with Krakoa. That is how her real-world medium-awareness reality-bending abilities are defined now in the parlance of the Marvel Universe. Works like an X-Gene, considered an X-Gene. And she and Quire are ON again after the last WCA. I don't know how to feel.
    end of spoilers

If Deadpool is technically cut off from the X-Office now, then how about that "replacement" above?

Thank GOD for X'97. Cautious about "From the Ashes". Please no more Blue vs. Orange.

Kamala hypothesizes that Gwen could be a mutant who, by the trauma of activating her reality warper powers, invented a past in which she is from another reality.

The end of "Gwenpool Strike Backs" is with Gwen crossing a Krakoa gate and being received by Logan and Quentin.

There has not been one thing about this miniseries that sounded good, and frankly that's no different.
I'll just be ignoring Gwenpool until either Hastings comes back or someone with sense writes her and hopefully Leah Williams is kept far away from her next time.

    spoilers:
As you know, Gwen Poole's driving obsession is to continue featuring in Marvel Comics titles, either as her solo or a team book ("West Coast Avengers") in order to maintain her existence. After learning that "Gwenpool Strikes Back" is a mini, she challenges a selection of Marvel heroes to a battle royale fighting tournament, hoping that it would make her mini-series a successful run to green-light another title for her afterwards. Using her weaponized media awareness, she beats all opponents until, in Issue 5, she faces Kamala.

Ms. Marvel refuses to battle and tries to help Gwen by offering her own explanation for the latter's reality-warping powers: Kamala thinks Gwen is a mutant. This causes Gwen to stop fighting and, feeling her issue's pages running out, she fades away to the whitespace, musing at the notion that her awareness can be mistaken for a mutant power. Lo and behold, a Krakoan gate appears before her. She crosses, and ends up in Krakoa where Logan finds her. She begs off on having telepaths read her (since she IS technically faking to be a mutant; she still "knows" she used to be from our real world), but she does reconcile with Quire.

Gwenpool then pops back into the whitespace and sees that she now has a comic-book future, represented by in-progress pages branching out into multiple paths from the whitespace Krakoa gate. She realizes that her current self is only a transitory "bridge" character from her "Unbelievable Gwenpool" and "West Coast Avengers" portrayals, and the wise older version that appeared in the last issue of the "Unbelievable" run. She does decide to ensure that the next creatives that will be assigned to work on her will know where she leaves off, by creating a HoxPoxDox-style data page of her character profile. Then she thanks YOU the reader and walks back into the gate to Krakoa.
    end of spoilers

Have we finally gotten back to the point where everyone revealed to be a mutant to tie them to the best marvel franchise?

Also of note, the email address mentioned at the end is officex (the X office), not mheroes (which is the Avengers office).

Gwen takes Emma to the whitespace and shows her "X-Men Origins: Wolverine" and "X-Men: First Class."

    Emma: Who are THEY?

    "Marvel Anime: X-Men"

Emma: I do not taste like diabetes.

    "Wolverine and the X-Men"

    Emma: I do not apologize.

    Gwen Poole: Lighten up, Frosty.

I have to say that I really disliked Gwenpool at first, but Gwenpool Strikes Back is one of the best books there are right now, pitty it was just a mini, Leah is a really great comedy writer, Any other writer attempting to translate shitposting into a comic would have been really cringy, but what it took was a writer that for a long time had "big tiddy Xorn" as her twitter name

She was a 3D character, now she is completely a joke character.

That's the point. The book is from the X office, so it makes sense that the X-Men would end up involved.
