Loving M&M. So cruel.

Better than the last, but the quality disparity between Brisson's cast & storyline(s) vs. HiXman's, couldn't be more glaring. These last 2 issues have certainly been a bit of a momentum killer, that's for sure, for what was the finest release from DoX. Via consistency, XF & Mrds have moved ahead of it now. It's not irreparable, but it's hardly been beneficial, either.
I feel kinda bad for Brisson.
It's like put a amateur athlete in a professional team.
I'm just in it for Boom Boom at this point. I do like the French twins being little shits. Hope they and Tabby lose the extra weight of the rest of the so called cast. Sage can stay, of course. If only cause she channels everything I want to say about kids all the time.-teaches for a living.-
New Mutants under Brisson is the wost Dawn of X book. I thought this was a two-parter. There was no need to draw out this story for more issues than 2.
Boom Boom should have shown up sooner and just ended this whole boring mess.
Well, I feel bad for Brisson. This is clearly a fill-in story meant to give Hickman and Reis time to finish their arc.
As is, I don't feel like it's bad, per se. It's certainly well-written enough that I have confidence that Brisson will do fine on NM once he takes the reigns.
But it's jarring to be yanked out, mid-story, from what Hickman and Reis were doing. It makes it hard not to judge Brisson's story more harshly, even if it's not his fault.
I don't think this is all that bad to be honest with you, it's not that much worse than the previous story outside of the art.
Reading List (Super behind but reading them nonetheless):
DC: Currently figuring that out
Marvel: Read above
Image: Killadelphia, Nightmare Blog
Other: The Antagonist, Something is Killing the Children, Avatar: TLAB
Manga: My Hero Academia, MHA: Vigilanties, Soul Eater: the Perfect Edition, Berserk, Hunter X Hunter, Witch Hat Atelier, Kaiju No. 8
The story is not bad at all. Only the villains could have been better thought through.
This odd actually my 2nd favourite Dawn of X book.

Small spaces. Do you feel that? Barely moving, but it's hard to tell, it's close in here...crowded parties, green vomit, guns, evil twins, anywhere with Glob, cellars, empty fields...the hung over body, the alcohol drenched knot of a fuse in Tabs' head and heart the tick...tick tick...great two issues...gonna be an awesome Boom!

― Miguel de Cervantes Don Quixote
I don’t see how this story is worst than the space one. Maybe someone likes the other characters more, and that’s okay, but that alone it doesn’t make a story better or worst on the other.
