Me? Yes, because medical advances of the last century keep me alive. Had I been born 50 years earlier, I wouldn't have lived to see my teens. It's not for everybody, obviously, but the current age is at least as good, certainly not worse, for most people.
On one hand, it's indisputable that living conditions are better than they ever have been practically across the board, but on the other hand, it's becoming increasingly evident to people that this is not the result of some ceaseless trajectory of progress, but rather the result of a totally unsustainable way of life that is due to collapse any day now.
