Make your own DC team based on different concepts/other teams

You've actually assembled a pretty great field division list. It'd be interesting to see the entire DCU compelled to function that way for an arc.
If the DCU pantheon was somewhat run as a massive military or planed strategic defense org, it would likley be broken down into the divisions you indicate.
Or at minimum the naturall cliques everyone would group into on their cafeteria lunch breaks.

Here's the cafeteria, the high school central nervous system

The jocks - Superman, Aquaman, Vixen

Ha - you're right. I thought the Wonder Twins were too obvious so I went another way.

And I think I genuinely blocked out Snarf. But yes, perfect analogs.

Ive tried doing The Thundercats before, but never been completely happy w. the results. The closest I’ve ever come was a DC version...:



Catman as Lion-O, since he used to live w. a Pride of lions.

Bronze Tiger as Tigra, cuz you know, stripes.

Wildcat as Panthro, both are the best fighters on their teams.

Cheetah as Cheetara. DC had a version of her that was an Amazon and ended up helping WW. The animated version seemed like she could be talked out of a life of crime (after making out w. Batman).

Starfire and Ryand’r as Wileykit and Wileykat. This is the only pick I ever really liked, as Tamaraneans are descended from feline ancestors.

Silkie as Snarf. I blocked out Snarf too any time I tried this build, but since I ended up using animated pics here, I figure Starfire’s pet worm thing will do. It’s more likable than Snarf!

I like the legit all feline version, DC has many...
I know there was a bunch of second string Thundercats; Pum-ira, Jagwari-O, Mountainlion-O? etc.

Pantha (I like the animated Luchadora version), Catwoman, Tigorr & Felicity all really want to joint too...

Well, i do like using Alpha Flight as a template for various team builds. DC’s Global Guardians this time out, w. only a few returning members, which would def. piss off diehard fans. If an actual comic, where the others are and why the new team was formed would make for some drama.




Alas, a suitable Puck escaped me, and that makes me sad.
