Sometimes there are teams where the line-ups just click, regardless of whether the initial collection of members feels random and out-of-sorts. And then there are teams like this. Pray for North Carolina...because they have
THE CORSAIRS!

STAR SAPPHIRE
Carol Ferris wasn't sure she wanted to even be a part of the Initiative, given her spotty history with the Star Sapphire identity. Still, after a conversation with Hal Jordan, she took the opportunity to be a part of the North Carolina team, watching over the state where manned flight, such a major part of her life, was essentially born. What she was not expecting was to be made leader of the team, nor to be saddled with such a bizarre collection of teammates. And she thought trying to be Hal's boss was frustrating...
SWASHBUCKLER
Michael Carter, nephew of the Greg Saunders Vigilante, had been working in Houston but jumped at the chance to be part of the North Carolina team, given that state's history with piracy and Michael's own romanticized take on it all, stemming from various films he watched as a child. He's the member Star Sapphire was familiar with the least but immediately the one she trusts the most.
CAPTAIN STRONG
With his houseboat moored along the Carolina coast, Captain Horatio Strong claims to have found a non-addictive variation of sauncha, the extraterrestrial seaweed that grants him super-strength and the power of flight. While grateful for such a powerful ally, Sapphire is taken aback by Strong's overly flinty demeanor and his somewhat outdated attitudes on things. And then there's the question of whether the sauncha really is non-addictive or if Strong has just fallen off the wagon.
THE LIQUIDATOR
A mutated creature serving as a vigilante of the oceans, the Liquidator grew tired of the politics of the seven seas and withdrew, ultimately winding up dealing with water-based crime along the eastern seaboard. With a recommendation from his one-time frenemy Aquaman, the creature is accepted into the Initiative and placed on the North Carolina team. But with close to no experience working with humans, let alone a team of them where he doesn't call the shots, it remains to be seen how effective he'll be.
KLARION THE WITCH BOY
Klarion has the distinction of being the member with the deepest ties to North Carolina, having been born in Limbo Town by former residents of the original Roanoke Colony. Not really considering it a homecoming of any kind, Klarion none the less opts to join the team along with his familiar Teekl, all but forcing his way on. Neither truly good or bad, Klarion's continued membership really depends on his whim, which could change any second. Still, he's potentially a powerful ally, despite what Carol's ulcer is telling her.
HACKER
Look...you have no idea what Jack Marshall is doing here. I have no idea what Jack Marshall is doing here. Jack Marshall has no idea what Jack Marshall is doing here. Still, he was on some kind of government list from his involvement with Sarge Steel and, being the only current resident of North Carolina, he finds himself drafted for the team, his handle mistaken as a codename. Now, a normal guy with some computer skills finds himself surrounded by a potential alien spinach addict, a devious Puritan child who talks to his cat, and an underwater monster with tendrils for one arm. At least the leader of the team seems normal...but isn't she a supervillain?
