I would be very, very surprised if they go with traditional 2D animation.

In any case, nobody but Chuck Jones has ever done anything worthwhile with Wile E. Coyote and the Roadrunner.

Why? I mean, if it was just an animated movie then yes I would expect it to be 3D in this environment, but if they're doing the animation and live action combo 2D makes more sense to me.

I could see either. Depends if they want it Roger Rabbit or Detective Pikachu style.

There's already a live action Wile E. Coyote movie---The Villain, starring Kirk Douglas!

I think I remember some CGI Wiley E. Coyote toons, but I forget if it was web stuff or from The Looney Tunes Show.

The voice of the Road Runner is what's important here.

Well, obviously the Road Runner has to rap at some point.

Anyway, if this movie bombs, there will be so many ready-made memes for it. The Coyote falling off a cliff, the Coyote getting crushed by a boulder, the Coyote running face-first into a wall, etc.

But there is a live action road runner film. It even ends with the looney tunes theme!
