if we're going emo, there's always Robert Pattinson. i'd rather see him as a young Magneto, though.

Good. One thing nobody wants is for them to rush the scripts.

So many of the "announcements" on the TV and movie forum, including this one, seem like random jokes made on twitter, but some humourless person didn't get it and reported them as fact.

I can see a self respecting actor attaching himself to one superhero in his lifetime, not two

Now, there's a Franchise I always despised and everything it stands for. Radcliffe has been in Swiss Army Man but in this case you'd have to believe he's a superhero/billionaire/mercenary/cab Driver. He's no Michael Keaton or Heath Ledger.

But Doom needs to be a very physical character. Very in your face so simply hiring a voice won't do. Likewise you need to do Doom's origin and you have to show his face for that, and if you are going to do stories like Secret Wars whose climax has him repairing his face and appearing maskless, you need to convey that Victor is the same guy underneath the mask as without.

So you can't just cast a voice.
He already had a small role as a Hydra agent, but I wouldn't mind if the brought Richard Armitage back to play Doom. He has a great voice, he's done action roles so he could handle physical side and, if we see him without the mask or scars, he has dark, broody handsome looks.

Daniel Radcliffe is also 5'5". That's .. not ideal for a superhero.(unless you're Wolverine) I ultimately trust Marvel's vision and I'll wait to see a trailer or something at least before passing any kind of judgement, but with such an unconventional choice, it makes me wonder where they're going with it.
