    Default Symbiotes

So, when it comes to the symbioses, the three symbioses are known as Venom(Klyntar), Carnage(Klyntar) and the symbiote race are known as the Klyntar right?

Since the symbiote was introduced with Peter and it turned out to be a pretty good storyline, could a story like that work today with Peter taking on the symbiote again?

Technically, not anymore, Donny Cates' Venom run retconned that by saying that "Klyntar" means "cage", because the symbiotes imprisoned Knull, their creator, so they're just "Symbiotes" again.

I don't think so, part of the point of Peter having a symbiote storyline is that he's not aware of what it is, and then he wants it out once he finds out, once a story like that happens, the only reason he should be getting a symbiote is for a temporary power boost, and as far as I've seen, he only really does that when dealing with other symbiotes, since he got a symbiote in Spider-Man and the X-Men to deal with other symbiotes, got a symbiote in Venomized to deal with the Poisons (And I think he was forced in that one), got Venom back to try to fight Red Goblin, and in video games, he got a symbiote to be able to deal with Venom in Web of Shadows (And that game kinda failed to give a good explanation why he kept it just for that, Venom is a beatable opponent and he knows a using symbiote can be problematic, it'd only make sense if he kept it if he knew about the invasion, but it took too long for him to learn that). Shattered Dimensions is the only case where Spidey got the symbiote not necessarily to deal with a symbiote (Though Ultimate Spidey did fight Carnage), but the real reason they made Ultimate Spidey have the symbiote was to give him a reason to be in the game, since Ultimate Spidey is just classic Spidey, but younger and obviously less experienced, the symbiote helped set him apart.

So yeah, short version is, outside of a temporary power boost, there isn't much of a reason for Spidey to willingly get a symbiote anymore.

But the name of the race is accepted as Klyntar given that they called themselves that way and Knull didnt bother to give them any. other name.
