Default Red Hood Outlaw #41 Preview / Discussion (Spoilers)

    Source: https://www.comics-now.com/home/2019...lusive-preview

    Summary

It's the shocking return of Artemis and Bizarro! But when did these old friends become foes? Red Hood's former Outlaws are ready to kill Jason Todd, and the kids of Generation Outlaw might be the only ones who can stand in their way! Sure, they're the super-villains of tomorrow, but for today they're just kids trying to learn how to survive in this crazy world. Will their final lesson be not to trust Jason Todd, or will they ultimately prove to be the end of his old teammates? It's all been leading to this showdown between the Outlaws and the New Outlaws!

Red Hood: Outlaw #41 will hit comic shops and digital retailers on January 1, 2020.

I wish Cloud 9 stays in the team. She's a disaster, yes: but I like her more the more we see of her.

Also: Roy, I miss him :____________(.

Aw, man. Roy. Cue the Darth Vader "No!" meme.

And yeah, Cloud 9 is pretty good (honestly, I like them all).

Issue 41 is already off to a great start.

And yeah, I hope Cloud 9 sticks around after the arc’s over.

Neat, they posted the preview early
But darn that Roy scene got me in the feels.
And I'm definately in the 'I hope Cloud 9 gets to stick around' camp.

Perfect first page. (Especially "For a girl." )
Perfect second page. (I miss Roy too.)
Perfect moment with Cloud 9. This girl rocks. I hope that she - and all the others - will stay.

Did Messina really draw the second page? If so, he did a great job recreating Henry Clayton's style from the RHatO Annual #2.

I concur with those who are missing Roy something fierce and who hope the "students" stick around beyond the confines of this story arc.

I was busy and I saw but forgot add this here..

I hope this will stop before this issue ending.. I want to see Jason&Outlaws reunion after their return.

The next issue seems to focus on Artemis & Jason so its probably safe to assume the gang will be back together by the end of 41.

I've read the issue - and I'm happy, very happy.
Here and there I would have liked a little bit more information but the final page is a dream come true for me.
The only thing that actually bothers me is Artemis' size. But I believe that her being suddenly so much smaller than Jason will be an ongoing problem in RHatO.
I think it wasn't explicitly stated in the issue but i believe that Pup Pup is controlled by Vessel. This makes the most sense for Pup Pup's sudden consciousness.

There was a bit too much break neck pacing in this issue, especially in the second half, but man, that ending was so wholesome. spoilers:
I know it was referenced a few times across this arc, but I didn't realize just how 'X-men' this would become XD

EDIT: Also I just realized Artemis let Jason call her princess here.
    end of spoilers

Huh. That’s a good catch, I didn’t even realize that.

Also, what we learned in this issue helps make Jason’s behaviors in RHO annual #3 make more sense in retrospect.
