Think it's a good list but I'd take out Respect and Westside story and add Onward and Eternals.

Coming 2 America gonna be the one I'm curious about. The first one is beloved i wonder what kinda love its gonna get.

One of them should break out because we've had big musicals each year and an Aretha biopic could hit big with two demographics. I've got to see a trailer for Eternals and what direction they are going with it before I put it in the top ten.

Bill & Ted Face the Music, 2 billion easily.

...ok maybe not but I think it'll do well.

I did not know they were making a third one.

Bad Boys for Life would have been on my list - maybe - if I had heard of it.

How'd you miss it? Never would have guessed it'd be #2 by September.

Tenet seems to be the biggest success since COVID.

I'm pretty skeptical the superheroines will rescue movies this year.

Worldwide and domestic it's BAD BOYS. SONIC is in third place worldwide and second place domestic. THE EIGHT HUNDRED is in second place worldwide and will probably take over first place soon. BIRDS OF PREY is in third place domestic.

It's ironic how movies that were counted out early in the year were the only ones to turn a profit in their theatrical release. And then they got to have a home release after that, extending their popularity and profitability. I will be having a whole heaping helping of Schadenfreude for my Canadian Thanksgiving.

Well, that's only because none of us predicted corona going the way it did. All the usual big blockbuster movies rightly didn't release.

So does this year get an asterisk in the record books?
