loll I was kind of thinking of the x-force covers that have a super 90s vibe , she'd fit right in
I think her costume rn is cute anyways tbh, I get how it could be read as regressive n maybe doesn't make a tone of sense but at least she doesn't look a mess imo . different strokes lol

I agree that even if her Marvel Girl look is regressive, at least it's a classic look which she looks good in. I'd rather that than a terrible outfit like a lot of other X-Men are stuck in.

So, like many of you, I think Jean needs more of a darker costume for her missions on XForce. Someone on CBR suggested a variant of her Xfactor Forever look. I decided to mash it up with her Morrison outfit. She could also wear the long coat if she wants to on missions. Hope you like

I like it although I also prefer the asymmetrical look of her X-Factor Forever look.

The Morrison suit is best considering her X-Force role, either that or Red Phoenix. She should wear the mini skirt to QC meetings.

The only time the skirt seemed to work was in HoX #1 when she was escorted the children to Krakoa. Its a nonthreatening look that I could see a teacher wearing. It looks silly in other scenarios

For the QC meetings, I think her late X-Factor or Revolution look would work

I like the idea of her having two costumes. She can wear the skirt for Council meetings or just around the house on the moon, but in battle she can do the green/yellow version of the X-men Red costume. It did look good in Giant Size X-men and it would be a shame for it not to be used again.

Though I would prefer the Morrison era costumes - or an updated version or an all new look for X-force team missions. X-force would look great if they had a team look like the new X-factor.

I agree with your choice. Dauterman did a good job with Jean in Giant Sized X-Men.

What about a compromise by using a combination of the skirt (even though I can't stand it), BUT NO MASK, and the X-Men Red uniform, something similar to Jesse's Asynchronous Suit from the game, 'Control':

Quite frankly, I think Hickman has Jean in that dress more so for the mask than anything. Its the iconic imagery of that look and what fits having her stand out in crowds of characters

I'm inclined to agree with this. There was a time that being a redhead was enough to signal to readers who the character was but there are quite a few redheads now. The mask is visually striking.

They could keep the mask but still give her an updated uniform. She could be in a version of the Viper Phoenix costume she wore in Wolverine years ago (just without the Phoenix aspect to the look).
