I was hoping for the 40th anniversary, Jean would have the Power of the Phoenix without any "Dark Phoenix" part.
It reminds me (and sorry for that) of early Greg Land's work in the really 2000's. When he was just doing covers, and that the tracing at the time was not so obvious and annoying. I have to be honest, I loved Greg Land's cover at the time. Anyway, obviously Mark Brooks art is way better than Greg's.

It seems like Jean will keep using her Marvel Girl costume after Giant size

I hope it is just a cover thing and she uses this costume instead.

I think we are correct that the re-colored X-men Red suit is a one -off and not a new look. Jean has been branded with the dated Marvel Girl look unfortunately. Too bad they didn’t update the look as they did in Age of X-man series.
I just wish they’d ditch the mask.
It was indeed and improvement over the current one but she still looked too young

What are your favorite Jean artists from Claremont till Dawn of X era?
My favorites are John Bryne, Andy Kubert, Carmen Carnero, Mark Brooks, Phil Jimenez, Jim Lee and Leinil Yu(His PR impressed me a lot, especially her new character design). I like Phil Noto's art too.

Supposed to be on chronological order. I feel bad not picking anyone from X-Factor/Inferno, but I'm not sure which I would choose and for google images I can't find any specific panels/pages I really like...
