I think Teen Jean cussed a couple of times in that story Dennis Hopeless did like 10 years ago. I think if we re-read that, we can see that girl becoming the Jean we have in X-Force. She was fun.

We don’t really know, since they are written like ”#&%@”. But my guess is that she might be saying ”fuck” or ”fucking”.
In X-Force 6 she said ”Don’t #&%@ patronize me”, and I read it as ”fucking”.
I don’t mind cussing and I don’t think swearwords are terrible, but under Percy’s pen Jean cusses more than she has previously done. And the original question was if Percy had managed to capture Jean well. And I think he has done an amazing job, except that she cusses more than I have seen her do before. To me, she can be fiery and passionate and pissed off without saying **** (or #&%@ ), but I don’t have a huge problem with it. It is just the only thing about they way Percy writes her that I am not too fond of. I love everything else.

Thanks for the clarification… that still leaves room to mystery.

But X-force isn't being handled by Hickman, I mean I agree he does great worldbuilding but he also handles individuals rather well I mean look at Moira, Destiny, Xavier, Lenssher or Mystique. Under his banner, he has done great with them IMO.

But in X-force, that whole Jean/Logan thing just didn't get developed it was just there with no real build-up to it and frankly I didn't care for it, but that may just be me since I was done with the Summers/Grey/Howlett triangle ages ago and wanted nothing to do with it.

TBH I've just stopped caring about Jean and her utter lack of development.

I disagree, I do not think Hickman has really had a chance to develop anybody. Except Xavier/Mags/Moira.

Everything reads like its fake, forced or out of left field, probably because its exactly what it is, another of Moiras lives.
