Same! MAJOR fan of Dauterman constantly choosing to use the yellow & green XMR bodysuit over the MG mini skirt. Hopefully the continuous usage of the bodysuit will encourage other artists to start using it as Jean’s go-to costume as well. Also cool to see she’s most likely going to be popping up in Marauders and possibly having some substantial panel time w the bestie.

I didn't expect it either. But what pleasant surprise. Now, your question is more than legit, as covers are not always relevant to what's inside the book. But I keep my fingers crossed.

Oh thanks.To b fair that was for the first issue when the MG was established as her default. Since he got the freedom to do the GS issue, it appears to me that that is his goto look

I agree. And Asrar's design was an hommage to her 90's suit anyway. Not that I like it (Never liked the 90's suit or the Red suit), but at least it's better this way imo, going almost full homage.
(I prefer Asrar's design over Jim Lee anyway)

The good thing is that the Marvel Girl suit made me enjoy this new version of the X-Men Red suit.

I think it's still supposed to be green-ish. Teal at least.

I think Matt Wilson(the colorist) prefers it blue, so he always colors it the least green that he can. On Giant-Sized he used the lightning to justify coloring it straight-up blue lol.
