What I do : I compare sales in the long run : First issue, one year later, two years later.

What you do : You use randoms numbers to compare. And you use an anniversary issue to compare with a 2 years old run sale. And you dare telling me I am the one using the convenient numbers :-)

at least people are not talking about costumes anymore.........I guess there is a positive side to everything.
Ommadon: “By summoning all the dark powers I will infest the spirit of man So that he uses his science and logic to destroy himself. Greed and avarice shall prevail, and those who do not hear my words shall pay the price. I'll teach man to use his machines, I'll show him what distorted science can give birth to. I'll teach him to fly like a fairy, and I'll give him the ultimate answer to all his science can ask. And the world will be free for my magic again.”

Long run???? LOL LOL LOL you're using sales rom the very short revolution run. But yet, his last issues of the revolution run was already falling only in 5 months :
    Uncanny #384 = 116,652
    Uncanny #389 = 106,514 ( approximately - 10 000 copies )

    X-Men #104 = 113,872
    X-men #109 = 104,643 ( approximately - 9 000 copies)

If he had stayed one more year, he obviously would have sold around 80, 000 copies. Like the end of his Reload run.

I love Cassara's work but I feel his treatment of Jean's hair is woefully lack lustre when compared to Asrar and Dauterman's renditions.

It's not a lot of atrition and sales help up good, since people all say that sales were down and was bad

He was losing around 2.000 sells by month. So if he had stayed one more year, he would have sold around 24,000 copies less. So his sales would be around 80.000 copies. Just like for his Reloaded run, he started strong and ended up selling around 80.000 copies.

Claremont, on a flagship book of the reload era :

    May 2004
Uncanny X-Men #444 (First issue of Chris Claremont new run) : 112,207 copies sold

    2 years later...

    May 2006
Uncanny X-Men #473 (Chris Claremont finale issue) : 79,303 copies sold

Cassara's renditions are pretty dark. It doesn't reflect her beaty but I guess X-Force had a history with these types of artists.
