Not necessarily. Going by a recent Marvel example: Longshot is a modified clone of a time-displaced Shatterstar, and Shatterstar is the son of Longshot and Dazzler. It's a loop with no real beginning. (There's also the example from the animated show Futurama where Fry is his own grandfather because he traveled back in time and slept with his grandmother.)

Its an homage piece based off of 1970s Marvel. Thats Iceman as he has an ice trail, not surf board

With all of the recent marketing focused on TAS, it's hard not to speculate on a possible sequel (especially since there have been discussions with Disney about it)
If that ever happened I hope Jean would benefit from a much better writing

And to be specific, when they do research on Jean, they do not need to go back to 1963 and get stuck on Jean's fainting!
