Cable should have never been allowed to fight in Otherworld anyway. If he dies, then that has massive ramifications for all of them, more so than any other potential death there. If Scott and Jean want to ensure that they dont risk the timestream breaking by protecting him, then oh well

Someone would think that killing old man Cable would screw the timeline worse, this is like the flash: save his mom breaks the timeline but a villain getting back in time to kill his mom is perfectly ok

OG Cable was at end of his lifeline and he's died multiple times with no consequence. Killing the younger version means anything that happened with the older one, essentially breaks and considering how core he has been to 616, the consequences on all of them should be catastrophic.

Yal'll act like Jean had a bunch of power on the QC. It was a vanity title. She wasnt making big moves or had much of a voice to shape the direction of Krakoa She was one of 12, which ultimately diminished her say. Its ultimately not a big loss for her and the life of her son trumps that

She had a vote on decisions, that at least was something. It was all unremarkable to a chaarcter that hve been unremarkable

How do you know? Even if he's not at the end of his life cycle, every contribution he made to 616 up until Extermination has already happened, and the the world hasnt broken. If Kid Cable dies, none of that stuff can occur, so the timeline should be affected by his death

Paradoxes happen, that is why kid Cable didn't screwed the timeline by doing that. he should be on the future doing his things not here on Krakoa.
Of course writers will find some way to say that this should had happened this way.

I dont know why the X-Men needs to be F4 at all, frankly. That isn't interesting and that book doesn't sell.

This era is going to cause another Morrison as far as Jean goes and that Morrison needs to appear ASAP. We don't need powerless demure housewife Jean. Yaaaawn.

Send Infant Cable AND Franklin away actually.

We also dont need the constant "teen mutant will mess up timeline" story. That terrible Extermination story happened and finally got rid of the O5 nonsense just for there to be yet another time travel baby version of an important character around. Such a nuisance.

Weak tea, not useful Jean yelling "Scott!" and "Nathan" and generally not doing anything else of note.

Luckily, she is not likely to be killed off for good, so when whatever happens with Mom here is done and someone with an interesting take comes along, they'll hopefully have access to use the character.

She did create the law to kill no human though. I'd say that's a big move that very much shaped the direction of Krakoa.
