Has Jean (or Jeen) ever addressed the fact that her entire family was murdered? I can't really remember. And was any of her family a mutant too? I think her sister was, or her nephews, but I'm not sure.

The information was revealed to teen jean during the trial of
Jean grey. And she did address it while confronting gladiator in battle- right before manifesting her new powers.
The knowledge she learned about her family could easily be taken as a major catalyst for her reaching inside and harnessing this new power.

That was a fantastic revamp of the Phoenix constume. He's smoking some bad, human-engineered Krak.

Fav Jean looks:
New X-men (all of the variations)
Green Phoenix
White Phoenix
Revolution Phoenix costume
X-Factor (yeah I even liked the green one!)
X-men red
90’s x-men
These colors just do not seem to go together for me. It is definitely the red. But I’m glad Jean got another Phoenix costume. She’s been through all the stages from green, red, white, and black. I wish each stage of the Phoenix would have been better explained. What does each color mean/represent?
I'm a guy.
Also, I just think that the red/black color scheme is overrated as hell and that Jean has had better. If the red were gold I'd probably feel differently.
