He doesn't quite look like how Lee has drawn him in the past. It's okay, but his charity sketches look better, imo.

Hmm! The jets look like F-22 Raptors, but I'm not entirely sure. Meanwhile, beyond the lack of a cowlick, Jimbo had Hal down pat. Pretty decent.

A few years ago, I ordered Macross Plus, an anime. Back then, I was amazed at how the main character, Isamu Alva Dyson, was pretty much Hal Jordan. The even look alike. Both had a life long dream to fly, served as military pilots (but proved incapable of following orders), and ended up as test pilots.

I can't help but ponder if the creators of this anime were familiar with the Green Lantern comic.

I just finished watching it again. I noticed how other characters in the anime reminded me of various GL characters.

Hal Jordan = Isamu Alva Dyson
Carol Ferris = Myung Fang Lone
Sinestro (New52 Incarnation) = Guld Goa Bowman - The doomed bromance/intense rivalry of two men who are total opposites.
Cowgirl = Lucy McMillan - They look alike, and served the same function.
Star Sapphire (Pre-Crisis) = Sharon Apple - You gotta see it to understand.
Kilowog = Millard Johnson

I wonder if Geoff Johns ever watched the OVA?
