Makes me wonder if DC planned to do that after Emerald Twilight.

Why was it surprising to you? Do you mean that it turned out to be Parallax that saved the day, or that he would want to save the earth?

I didn't think that DC was going to use Paralax to save the Earth. If I remember it right, Hal showed up just in the last issue. (I didn't read any advance solicits then, just went to store and looked for titles that looked interesting).

Yeah, Hal just kinda popped up midway through events back then ... his reveal in "Zero Hour," "Final Night" then "Judgement Day" where he ended up saving the day there by taking on the Spectre.

Not really much of anything for anyone beyond some creators talking about stuff already announced or exists.

Can't say I'm surprised by no GL for either day given the poster for the event only featured Jessica from Superhero Girls as the only GL presence.

I'll save y'all the click -- it just seems to be a rumor at the moment. BC claims someone told them Waid was offered GL. Guess we'll see...

Not to say he'll actually write Hal, but he did a great job with him during his Brave and the Bold run.

Yeah, I'd love to see Waid write Hal. He has always written him well.
