Hal really could have just done that to 96% of anyone he fought...

Bruce Timm regrets they didn't make New Frontier a two-parter. Still one of their best animated movies though.

Ooooo, what are the other two?

Mine are New Frontier, Sinestro Corps War, and Hal's whole arc during Crisis on Infinite Earths.

The Darkseid War one-shot and probably the whole of TGL season 1 along with Blackstars, especially that final issue where Hal reveals his hand to Bezebeth and goes "I'm Hal Jordan, you should be scared."

But I like the two stories you mentioned as well. SCW was a great story -- just that it doesn't have that many defining Hal moments for me (or maybe I don't remember -- been a while since I read it). Englehart's depiction of Hal post-giving-up-the-ring was great and I'd put that arc in my top 5 for sure.

Two other moments come to mind:

    1) In Rebirth when the ring slips back onto Hal's finger and he returns to life, his thoughts reading, "Plenty of damn will. Will to stand up. Will to fight. And will to live." Now that was a great depiction of Hal by Johns imo before his post-Blackest Night slump.

    2) In Final Night, when Hal appears to save Ferro Lad with the line, "I know how important rings can be." And then proceeds to recite the oath. Great Hal moments but the actual story sans the Hal parts doesn't really hold up imo.

It probably would have benefited from it but I think they did an amazing job condensing the story into one movie without sacrificing the quality, all things considered.
