Instead of peeping over Johnny's backyard, I better tend to my own.
I mean....what if we get stuff like this?
The thought of it is giving me a Nick Cage moment.
I think I need two fully charged blue rings.....or I need to just wait and see.

Perfectly balanced as all things should be.
Negativity does tend to cloud my better judgment at times, but I think it's only for the sake of being realistic now. I can't tell people not to hope about Hal being featured on the show, but after what's been happening to the character for so long I can't seem to share that enthusiasm. If I could see some indication that WB finds something valuable about him that goes beyond being used as a stepping stone for another character or turning him into a villain to make the other character(s) look good, it would've been a different story.

The show is being developed by Berlanti and Johns, and they're using Hal's main villain. If they're allowed to use Hal in some capacity, they will.
I'm sure they're trying to work out how to balance a potential film cast with the show, and how to structure it. If they can't use Hal in the show, we might see Simon and Jessica in stories set 20 years from now, flashing back to Abin Sur and Sinestro in the past, leaving a hole in the middle for a film with Hal, and perhaps John or Kyle too.
Johns' GL run followed a similar plot structure leading up to Blackest Night, in fact.
Then if the film falls through, they can course-correct in a theoretical season 2 or 3.
You don't have a choice but to be realistic in regards to Hal (and the other GLs too for that matter) being presented outside comics.
It sucks that the human lanterns for the series have not been revealed.
I'd rather speculate on what stories would be featured, as opposed to which characters.
It makes the GL's seem interchangeable which they are definitely not.
If they do go with Emerald Twilight (which I hope they don’t) They should do the Moore/Gibbons Tygers prophecy starring Abin Sur and GLC #212-224 (the last 3 story arcs from the original GLC book) first so they could do Rebirth properly (since Rebirth was based on those stories)
The Sinestro Corps War and it’s build up in Gibbons’s GLC run was based on the Tygers prophecy as well.
The show is covering 70 years and the Moore/Gibbons Tygers prophecy (which is the prequel to Johns’ entire GL run) is the best Abin Sur story ever told (the Abin Sur/Martian Manhunter team up in Ostrander’s MM run is a close second)
It would be almost blasphemous NOT to do the Tygers prophecy, IMHO.
I honestly don't want to see any particular storyline adapted.
Yeah, that's cool. (from "TGL" S2 #3 solit)
.... and Cowgirl's back!
So the new Guardians "ground" him too. lol The more things change. That's a hell of a cover by the way.GREEN LANTERN SEASON TWO #3
