Yep, this took place at the very beginning of Grizzled Veteran Hal, which was only two or three issues old at this point

^^That's beautiful. It doesn't look like how I think of Mike McKone's art (the proportions are much better) - I really like this!

He’s really come a long way from where he used to be.

    This. All of this.

No offense towards Brett Breeding, but I just didn’t care for his inking of Jurgens pencils.

I just bought the Hal Jordan & the Green Lantern Corps, how was it? Also, how was the Green Lanterns Rebirth book?

It's a solid and fun book, even if the plot didn't set the world on fire, but the characterization is generally on-point and the art is phenomenal.

Green Lanterns was a lot of fun as well.

Good to hear. I’m a pretty big fan of Venditti’s, but haven’t read much of his DC stuff. Just his amazing Hawkman run.

It was great, the first comic run ever that I've bought all the trades for and completed. 7 volumes I think

Yeah, Hal Jordan & the GLC was solid, and a big improvement over Venditti’s previous run.

I love Sam Humphries’ Green Lanterns. I thought the Tim Seely run that followed was a big step down, and I normally enjoyed his stuff. The Jurgens finale was ok, but prettay prettay prettay far removed from the original vision of the book.
