Happy New Year to Hal and to all GL fans .
May 2020 be a better and brighter tomorrow .
Happy new Year. And to celebrate, I got Morrison's GL 2 trades.
Le Suck it, Dolphin!
-God I am so tired.
SCOTT SUMMERS AND EMMA FROST DESERVED BETTER.
I certainly wish Philip Tan did more work on GL after the Agent Orange arc. He was perfect for this book.
The latest Line is Drawn has a beautiful tribute to the late Xum Yukimori, who was a giant GL fan. There's so much Hal stuff here to check out, particularly the animated series.

Unfortunately I'm not sure they would do so even if they were inclined to. Doing animated movies set in the DCAU made sense, I could totally see them do Young Justice-based movies down the line too. But even though GL: TAS was critically acclaimed and had its audience, it was never on that level of popularity. It wasn't given a chance to be.
I'd be thrilled even if they made a 2D version with the same continuity and designs a la "Big Hero Six." (heck, I'd be thrilled if they did anything to spotlight Hal (or even if it were a team book with the other earth Lanterns a la the "GLC" comic.))
I’d love for them to do an animated GL movie. I’ve liked Hal’s DCAU personality for the most part so far. I mean, at least Hal’s not an all super serious, boring, “bland-ditty-bland”, BLAND, character, like everyone else is.
I thoroughly enjoyed Hal and Bats joking around together about taking out Super-“annoying”-boy during the last animated Superman film…
Hal (aiming a bazooka construct at Superboy) – “I have the shot…”
Bats – “I say take it…”
Wonder Woman –“Guys… stay focused, we’re here to try and keep an eye the on the president…”
As far as which GL story line I think would make for the best movie? Well, that’s easy. They should do an updated version of Emerald Dawn II because it’s basically the movie Training Day set in outer space. A young GL/Hal eager to start his GL orientation only to slowly come to the realization that he’s partnered with a crooked GL/Sinestro who is abusing his power, not only throughout his sector, but on his home planet as wel, and then having to find a way to bring his superior officer down and free everyone (including his loyalists who don’t know any better) from his egomaniacal tyranny is the perfect GL story line to animate and turn into a movie.
To be fair, I don't think we've ever seen "super serious" Hal in outside media anyway. He's been more serious in some adaptations but he always had his signature swagger, he was never some stoic guy with little to no personality.
