Rereading the Earth One books and I realized how much better, far and away, Green Lantern: Earth One was compared to the others! Hal's story was awesome in it. Batman and Superman: Earth One are alright, but Wonder Woman: Earth One is a mess.

Hal really takes the cake though!

Really? That would have to be like 2, 2 hour long movies and a 15 minute short of the Moore/Gibbons’ Tygers prophecy that’s the prequel to both the Sinestro Corps War and Geoff Johns’ entire GL run to get that adapted right

Guy needs to be taught to respect his elders .

They would probably condense/alter stuff. They always do.

Haven't even read the other Earth One novels, but I really liked GL Earth One.

And there's a planned volume 2, which I'm really excited about.

I think he's more embarrased with Bat's one punch.

I like to joke about it, but I doubt I would ever be a fan of the older portrayals of Hal. Just doesn't appeal to me. Maybe it's a fan entitlement thing, you always want your favorite characters to be in their prime. But who knows, it's not like you can't have good stories with the characters being older as well. Maybe there are some Batman fans out there who don't like the Batman Beyond take on Bruce and yet that seems to be one of the most critically acclaimed takes on the character in outside media.

If you do ever get around to them, I think you’ll be disappointed by them after having read Green Lantern: Earth One. It is that good, and they, in my opinion, just really fall short.

I’m looking forward to another volume!

Hal looks like he's overjoyed as usual to be using his "hands" lol.

I think the creative team was a good fit for the type of sci-fi stories.

Before E1, I hadn’t heard of them. I first got the Earth One collections when I had tipped past newbie to seasoned reader of comicbooks, so I was reading as many books from creative teams as I could. I’ll probably look into other works from them. Definitely looking forward to another volume of GL:E1 though!
