This image has been posted on Geoff Johns' production company site for a while. Clearly it's an old Alex Ross painting of Hal Jordan but given how the face is cropped out, it could indicate it's going to star other Green Lanterns. Sinestro already being confirmed to be on the show is no guarantee that Hal will be there as well, since we've seen Sinestro being the primary GL rival in outside media adaptations before without Hal being the representative GL.

Of course, because those decisions won't come from him. He's not a showrunner like he is with Stargirl. Johns produces Batwoman, Titans, Doom Patrol as well and wrote some episodes of The Flash before, but he wasn't directly involved in the creative direction of those shows. He had nothing to do with the CoIE crossover. Besides if WB still restricts the DC TV division, then Hal will most likely not be on the show. The initial rumors said it was going to be Kyle. Like I mentioned, why would they crop out Hal's face like that anyway.

Yeah, but he seems to be very heavily involved and is tight with Berlanti. I mean, the first character confirmed is Sinestro, that should tell you something .
We know the focus is going to be on more then one GL and there are different time periods. Maybe they cropped out Hal's face because there is more then one GL or they don't want to spoil who the Lantern is.
I know it's on Johns's site, but that doesn't really lend it much credence with me. He liked the image but can't give anything away. There are no official images he can provide, so he just threw that up there. I personally wouldn't read much into it.
That would be a real downer if Hal is not part of the show.
I'm excited for this show, mainly because of Hal Jordan and what he brings to the table.
It's nice that it's about the GL universe. A mythology that could challenge Star Wars.
But I'm also interested with Coast City, Hal, Hal's family, Carol, Tom, Ferris Air, Hal's earth based rogues....
