Marvel stay pushing back their comic book releases. Now, BP #23's updated release date is May 13. Smh. Come on. We all know comic bookstores will not be open in two weeks. Just sell the comics online already.

This is a PERFECT TIME for Digital Releases.

I mean.....at this point anyone could forget what is going on in ANY Marvel Book.

That would help in killing comic book stores faster, which the industry still heavily relies on

    How though?
How do you forget what you read a month ago, six months ago? Don't you guys re-read your books?

It's real easy to forget what you did a Month ago or 6 Months Ago. Sometimes I re-read books and some I don't.

In this case before Carona came I didn't need to Re-Read because the information of what happened before was still fresh in my mind.

What I do remember is that Marauders Issue #10 was supposed to BEEN out and MCU Black Widow was supposed to come out Today.

Or they could follow an example already being modeled:

"ComicHub announced its own plan to deal with the stoppage, selling comics directly to customers. Readers can sign up and link their accounts to a physical store. When they purchase a comic, they'll get a digital copy instantly, but will also pick up the physical book at their local shop when it reopens. This will help to keep the stores afloat for now."

If they REALLY want to keeps stores around, this solution works.

Pretty much every store would have to do this and I dont think the infrastructure exists to make such a drastic change this fast. Like I dont see the point in Marvel releasing comics if only a few stores are able to implement this

But, right now, they aren't making any money unless they have an online presence, mailing list and are mailing comics to readers. This is where we are right now. In the US, media mail is inexpensive. I've mailed my books to giveaway winners this way, and it costs me less than four dollars, and that's with me mailing a two or three hundred page novel. The situation isn't ideal, but we have to become more creative in how we do business nowadays.
