Ya know, I understand why the writer did it but I agree embracing Storm's magic and divinity is far more interesting than acting like it was never there to begin with. Claremont's story reeks of problematic "gullible primitives" tropes, but it was gradually self corrected in later stories and opens up far more interesting avenues for subversion and storytelling. Goddess Storm isn't the only plot I wanna see for Ororo but it's got a lot of potential, hopefully Hickman and Vita see that.
.
oh really??? I don't recall the ban but definitely remember you not being ok with that issue.
it has sooooo much potential but I'm not getting the sense that Hickman and crew want to touch that. but maybe after tomorrow I will see differently

yes, it went on a direction that focuses more on ororo's inner characteristics and personality and showcasses them, I apreciate the choices made in this issue and the ramifications that ororo's actions will have, realy realy enjoyed the issue personally, hickman's storm continues to serve and in a more subtle ways does set up ororo's place in certain future story lines.
also competent field leader storm has made a return, rejoice.
