I think that's a bit of a stretch there. I mean I don't think we can call that unless that's what Scott had planned that or if it was mentioned as apart of the plan

as she was hit cyclops said we would fake a retreat. her being hit would give the perception that had overwhelmed her and she told cy lops she was ok after getting hit

I think the BETTER Question is...what's with the Lightning Bolt trail that followed her when she got hit. I wonder if that was like her shooting back at the aircraft.

how could they effect a retreat without it being believable such an act was necessary? up until ororo got hit they were beating the vaults defenses. outside of that what else happened that would demonstrate they need to retreat?

Easy, not get hit in battle. Simple.
Beating the Vault Defenses quite easily is exactly why Storm getting hit is not part of the plan. It was not mentioned that Storm needed to get hit, it wasn't agreed upon Storm needed to get hit to make a retreat believable.
Nothing, in any of those panels states that in order for this distraction to work Storm needs to get hit.

What you could say her getting hit helped the plan and it made it believable. But you can not say that was definitively part of the plan. Because it wasn't.

I mean....that could be. I thought she shot a Bolt back at the Aircraft.
Someone else on Twitter was saying she created a Force Field....YEAH I don't buy that.

I think what's better is that she was able to Tank that Blast...lol she didn't get knocked out :-)

If you flip the panel upside down, you'll see she is returning fire .
