If she comes back, not only do I get to bump my Depowered Solutions thread but Wind Dancer is back and the entire OG New Mutants Squad could be back together again. For the first time in 13 years.

We can't even get a KYost Squad reunion (and I think it's a reasonable argument that this has become the "iconic" roster most people talk about). I'd be incredibly surprised if after Marvel's complete disinterest in using that iteration for anything meaningful, that they'd even care about doing it for the DF&W group.

I’m not expecting a reunion. Though if we were to give them one, I could see Leah getting Baldéon to draw a panel of them all hugging, reunited or something. But it would already be amazing that they are all living on Krakoa together after almost two decades.

Although I wasnt a huge fan of Scotty Young's art. I did like how he portrayed their friendship through his artistic methods.

there were some good scenes in his run.


Actually on second thought I would love Hickman to pick up the depowered thread in one of his X-Men 1 issue stories and have some the new x-men spotlight in that with the return of Wallflowers and explanations of depowered mutants and then he tosses it to Leah Williams to finish the story.

That would give them some elevation and spotlight.

Because if it sells well it will be harder for Marvel to justify the "Nobody but the O5+ can carry a book" attitude they use to not use them in the first place. I think they KNOW the NXM are too well-liked to risk the chance of upsetting their own narrative.

The joy of the Era of Krakoa has me hankering for all sorts of unconventional nostalgia. Like, I dont' much care for Wallflower, Icarus, or Wither, but I'm ALL here for a reunion of this group.
