He got way too much attention and I'm bitter that Hellion and Surge and Mercury and Pixie and Anole and Loa and Gentle and Wind Dancer didnt get any love in the last 2 years while he did.

Yes I admit that. Also he's just not interesting and the writer kept putting him in everything.

While I don't like the character itself, he is visually interesting. Can't that away from him. There's no other character who looks similar to him in any media, as far as I can think of. So maybe that's a reason to keep using him.

The old X-Men are all over the place, we got teen versions of the O5 and Cable, but of course it's Glob's faults if some New X-Men don't get enough spotlight.

I'm glad Santo got this storyline and not Glob. This can go in any number of directions for his character and lead to years of stories.

Santo is hardly my favorite of the kids from that era, but I'm kinda thinking he's gonna come back, no matter how permanently the Summoner thinks he killed him. And coming back with a 'body' composed of Otherworld-stone could possibly even prove relevant or useful in the current situation, somehow...

I'm not mad at this "death". It kind of s*cks that a NXM is the first to go, but it actually leaves him in an interesting place to explore in new stories. Plus, he probably got more respect in death than in the last 5 years.
