I'm all in on a Storm/Monet friendship so much about the other, I imagine they already and could continue to grow to respect. Having Monet develop and carry out the rescue of Storm was great. Can't wait to see where they go from here, nice read and wouldn't have minded Cecilia Reyes joining them.

I always thought cecilia was someone they both obviously care about and respect but is the friend you check up with every few weeks or because of the different path they choose for themselves and due to their different mind view and how they go about executing their goals and helping mutantkind.

I wouldn't mind seeing monet, storm, rachel, jubilee and betsy once she's done running around the otherworld reunited together again. And I need the theresa and monet reunion like yesterday.

The next time Marvel cancels all of their female solos and realizes how bad their optics are, I want to get a special with this team:
Monet / Storm / Jean / Emma / Jubilee / Magik / Kate

(admittedly very Monet centric in its conception)

and then a bonus book w/ some stragglers:

yes she was there in the previews but they were only released about a month ago i think? Either way we know she's in the first issue i'm just keeping my finger crossed that she'll appear in the 21 other chapters

Me too, keeps getting robbed during events! HoX was her best showing yet I think.

I really thought she'd do more in Messiah Complex but alas.

I'm still not over the wasted opportunity with monet having such a minuscule role in messiah complex when she was made for an event like that. Ngl i kinda wish she'd left x-factor around that time and joined the team on utopia since the rest of x-factor run didn't do much for her character wise. Oh well. Empyre #1 is still my favourite recent showing since it took her in a new direction and gave a new HEALTHY and fun relationship and finally she's being introduced interacting with a character where they have actual banter instead of her being overly rude or bitchy unprovoked. But i must say each time jean stans complain about "i dunno what so say marvel girl, try harder" one year gets added to my lifespan.

Monet had a pretty good showing. That line about "it's a job I might want", does that mean she wants to be Omniversial Majestrix, or is it possibly foreshadowing her joining Excalibur?

Nice to see Monet back. Given the track record, I didn't expect her to appear as much as she did, or even as early as she did.

Off to a good start, but lets see if the landing sticks since that's where the bottom has been falling out thus far.
