Yalls comments on Empyre saddens me, she was literally the only reason I was going to bother with it.

Honestly I didn't have high hopes as soon as I saw issue one. I just wasn't impressed from the get-go, and imo she still looked too light.

You can see I took liberty of darkening her in my Avatar. lol As I tend to do in scans where she otherwise looks great but needs more melanin in her complexion.

Hickman is the only writer on issue 4 and apparently she's one of his favorites, so I have a tiny bit of hope for the finale.

Well he wrote her in HoX 3/4/5 and in Empyre X-Men 1 and she was awesome in each of those issues. He even managed to mention her in New Mutants and plans to use her for Storm's Giant-Size
Hickman definitely likes the character a lot (he's even confirmed that she's his third favorite mutant) so I'm pretty hopeful

A lesson I learned. When it comes to certain charactets, keep expectations low until a reason is given to raise them. Lol

He should've tightened the cast and tried not to shove Hordeculture and every other guest in this book. Magik has her own book, Angel and Monet don't.

Just to clarify, Leah was not barred from using Monet in X-Factor because of Empyre. It’s because Monet was supposed to be part of the X-Corp book.

I'm sharing some M fanart because she deserves more shine. I'm also working on a new X-Corp look for her now since I was so disappointed by this series. I'm going to manifest some good character moments for our fave because this...this wasn't it.
