IDA. That design is dreadful. I prefer the simplicity we got in GEN X v2. The only reason her skin color changed is bc she had been vamped up for quite some time at that point. She had freshly merged in the scan you post so none of those effects had taken time to take

Yeah. The art didn't do anyone any favors in GenX but I did prefer her Emplate look there.


And I loved her outfit with the trench coat. With better art, that could've looked wonderful.

How old would they be now?

I always assumed in their first appearance pretending to be Monet, they were 8 years old.
8 + 8 =16 year old Monet.

The twins are there. They were shown in New Mutants in Penance forns with Monet yelling at them.

This cover/composition is just VERY clever, as well as beautifully done. I know the artist -- its on the tip of my tongue and driving me bonkers. Is it Josh Middelton?

I'm also in the camp of folks that hate seeing Monet look like Knuckles from Sonic the Hedgehog on comic covers. However, this particular cover by Kyle Hotz makes the Penance form look pretty cool

Did Hickman make up the Penance form stuff resurgence for her? It’s kind of pointless that someone that’s already super strong, nigh invulnerable, and telepathic would also need to transform into a sharpy scratchy spikeball. I don’t like it at all.

I like the Penance aesthetic, but yeah...it doesn’t make sense for Monet.

It could if it made sense but Hickman hasnt give her any development. Penance was her prison for so long so I wonder how she feels being able to transform into that form, using that name as well as seeing her sisters do it as well.
