Fantastic Four #5 - first appearance of Doctor Doom

I think 2020 will be an even better year for the FF. Looking forward to some MCU announcements and even more merchandise and games. Plus it is nice to see the FF interacting with the greater MU in the comics, as they rightly should, with the Avengers / Fantastic Four event Empyre And I'm definitely looking forward to Zdarsky's FF / X-Men mini-series!

    I didn't forget them.

The mods closed the 2019 appreciation threads a day earlier than they said they would, so I couldn't just copy the post WITH the links attached from the old thread as I'd planned. People started creating new threads willy nilly, for some reason, a day earlier than we were told we could do so -- even in threads where we'd agreed to let a specific person start a thread.

I like to open appreciation threads with info posts, and if I can't do that, I like to least get them on the first page, hopefully all together, which means place holding posts. Unfortunately, I had five or six appreciation threads I was trying to do all this, before the free for all thread creating / posting messed up my plans. Then I had to rush to try to get SOMETHING in all those placeholder posts, before the over zealous mods (NOT our Marvel mods who have been very helpful) merged my place holder posts (and yes, that happened last year in the chaos of the unannounced 2018 Appreciation Threads Shut Down).

All this on freaking New Year's Eve, when I actually had non-fannish plans, which mostly got scrapped. So no, the links weren't added in any of my posts. I did as much as I could with my New Years commitments, but that didn't include recopying and adding each individual link I'd gathered for several appreciation threads. I also didn't get around to re-add many individual pictures I used to illustrated pages.

Yes, my OCD self was NOT very happy yesterday, so I sincerely thank you for allowing me to vent.

More on topic, I am hoping to copy the links in the next week or so and add to them with fellow FF fans help. There's a lot more great FF articles and sites out there, I'm sure.

That is encouraging. I do think 2020 is going to be a good year for the FF and am looking forward to it mightily.

I added the video to the links page.

I was stunned also. After all these decades, I think alot of modern readers don't realize how innovative and foundational the Lee / Kirby was. It basically built the MU as we know it. I was trying to find the poll, but I'm pretty sure it was on CBR.
