Does often subordinate make you more comfortable. I’m not sure if it was a conscious decision, but Magik has found herself under his purview quite a bit these last few years. And now here she is as one of his captains while he gives her a classic Batman to Robin about them Titans talk.

I think of it this way: if Cyke ever had a solo book, Illyana would be an essential cast member.
I would love it if the relationship between these two as captains was developed more.

I think that's an interesting thing to think about. Considering all things Cyclops, I wonder what other characters apart from his family, might be considered essential in a solo book.

I've pretty much given up on a Cyke solo book ever happening. I'd argue interest, momentum, and read-sympathy in Cyke was at its peak immediately post-AvX, but BMB not only decided to defuse it all, but to actively revert him back to the status quo. In retrospect, it's pretty clear BMB was more focused on bringing his A-game to writing ANXM than UXM, if the meandering Last Will arc & hilariously OOC depictions are anything to go by.

Did Cyclops heal his eye problem done by Hope?

Does anyone enjoy Cyclops status in the current Krakoa story?

He probably got Elixir to heal it around when Krakoa was starting up, but even if he didn't, his new body from the resurrection process already had both eyes to begin with.

As for his status, I'm cool with it, but it'd be nice if he showed up more in other titles and had more to do, IMO.

Scott was killed and resurrected via the pods so that fixed the issue of a missing eye

I have always found the relationship between Cyclops and Illyana interesting. Because for Illyana, Scott is in the tiny space where he feels no pity or fear towards her.

For a long time most mutants were divided between being terrified of her and treating her like a monster or treating her like a little girl. Scott treats her honestly and respects her and that for Illyana I think is important.

They definitely have come a long way. I hated how in the Gillen era, he caged her like a dog. Strapping a bomb to her chest and forcing her to do his bidding under duress was too extreme. Ironically she would then become one of his most loyal ally

I think Illyana respected Cyclops more for doing that. She is weird.

Yeah especially when towards the end she revealed that his bombs were useless and she had the ability to just teleport away if she wanted to
