Jean had more presence in death than Cyke in Hickman's entire run.
Hickman succeeded where 2010s Marvel didn't: make the X-Men villainous and irrelevant.
Hilariously, the X-Men have now fully embraced mutant supremacy and racism against humans.

I mean, if Carol Danvers, Black Cat or Black Widow was the Phoenix would be easier than if it was the Hulk, Captain America or Daredevil.

Well, you got a point. Especially with the Hulk.

Is anything ever easy with the Phoenix? I guess it's a relative matter...
    Does it need doing?
    Yes.
    Then it will be done.

With roles in X-Men #17, Children of the Atom #1 and Champions #4, January looks like a good month for Scott

Champions should be cute, but I'm not especially looking forward to the inevitable "Waaah, Jean is being underused/Scott is holding her back!" that will follow X-Men #17.

I expect something small from Champions because Scott is not going to be able to help 100% without starting a Krakoa / USA war.

Something perhaps "I pass you information that we have found on their servers" or "You can stay on the Moon and rest one night."

Is Scott’s connection to the Champions universally liked by everyone here?
    Does it need doing?
    Yes.
    Then it will be done.

I'd say so. Aside from the Hitler thing in #2, Tyke had sooooo much room to breathe and just be good in Champions. His last issue with them under Waid or Wells was just incredibly sad and cute with that hug Kamala gave him.

And then came WoR crossover. The way he just up and left the xmen to help the Champions and called them his team?

    Le Suck it, Dolphin!

    -God I am so tired.

SCOTT SUMMERS AND EMMA FROST DESERVED BETTER.

Isn't he supposed to appear in the previous issue as well? I doubt they are going to have him in two issues, in the second being both in the cover and the central part of the solicit and have him do something small (also the Marauders are part of the chapter and the chapter looks like it will happen in the sea)

It was alright. Nothing memorable, but at least Tyke was written a lot better instead of the whiny non-existence he was in the OC5 book.

I find his characterization in those books to be superior to everything else that was available at the time. Honestly, I still find his most recent appearance to be the best Cyclops we've had in the past few years.

I hope his next appearances don't disappoint.

It was far better than the Jeen-obsessed loser he was in the X-books. God, that whole relationship was incredibly toxic when they got brought into the present.

It was cute. Him being allowed to have friends and not constantly being used as an emotional punching bag almost felt surreal at that time.
