Magik is more like Quiet from MGSV. The revolution era reminded me of MGSV as a whole. Cyclops lost everything and start rebuilding and even going so far as to use radical methods that he never did, just like Venom Snake. Magik is like the supporting protagonist who always protects him on the field like Quiet. Emma is vengeful and wanted payback after losing something that is used to be part of her, i.e: her psychic powers like Miller, i.e: his sight and limbs. Magneto is the dude who pretty much knows and figured out everything while sometimes work outside for MC's own sake like Ocelot. All in all, I felt the same vibes as phantom pain, with AvX & Consequences as Ground Zeroes.

Precisely because Beast was the one who opposed the underdog. A decade has gone by in which his only narrative arc has been "Scott, no!". Beast and Logan kept making comments criticizing Scott all the time. No one likes that. Scott did not criticize the others.

At least wolverine accepts and compliments Scott and even acknowledges his as the boss. Beast does not

If the ranking was based on the relationship between Scott and his children, I would have kept OG Cable in first place, then Ruby would have been second instead of Rachel who would have been third

Plus, Logan had a few other things going for him to help him weather the fan backlash.

1 - Wolverine is a far, far more popular character than Beast.

2 - Logan already had the groundwork for a rivalry with Scott laid down decades before. Restarting it is much easier than creating something new, especially when the inciting incident for Hank was anger over Scott not jettisoning an already Hail-Mary plan to rescue someone who acted on his own to go do something he was warned not to do.

3 - Logan has never been as hypocritical as Hank once you scrape past the surface. Logan opposes X-Men killing, yet does it himself because he believes that he is already damned, and by continuing to do the dirty work he saves others from going down the same road he has. Yes, it looks like he is an incredible hypocrite on the surface, but the driving motivation behind it is anything but. Hank was doing the same stuff Scott did, only on a much larger scale, all while insisting he was pure and Scott was irredeemable.
