Scott Summers: Cyclops Appreciation 2020

As a Cyclops fan that story made me swear off Brubaker forever. Something about him abandoning his entire team to die while he ran away sobbing. Brubaker's Scott should never have been in the field, much less leading a team.

Basically, it wasn't Scott at all, just a plot induced personality change crammed in to make a story work, and possibly the most egregious example I can think of.

It definitely did a few questionable things, and that is a very good point.

It depends, Scott was almost always considered a cuckold, currently it is called "open marriage"

I did. Some of us are merely skeptical with this notion of being suuuper respectful to both continuity and Kate Summers. There was absolutely no reason whatsoever for anyone in Shi'ar space to clone her/use her DNA as a template for anything back in the days. You'd have to retcon her into being a mutant whose powers never manifested/only manifested when she died and that would just be stu...
