SO if they keep Adam X the son of Katherine and D'Ken....and Gabe had a child with Deathbird....that makes for some complicated family tree branches.

I loved the first X-Factor run (big 05 fan). The first X-Factor run was about the 05 following their own interpretation of Xavier's dream.

The thing is, they actually succeeded after the Fall of the Mutants. They were training young mutants (until that weird Celestial adventure & Cable debut), and lived like the mutant version of the FF. The general public knew who they were, and knew where they lived. "Ship" was basically the Four Freedoms Plaza/Baxter Building for mutants. After a while, the general public just accepted the 05 as another NY superhero team, like the FF, and the Avengers.

But then again, the 05 were created in the "FF style", on the cover of X-Men #1.

When not self-obsessing over personal issues, Scott does better when out from under Xavier in terms of bringing mutants into the light. I doubt Scott & Jean will keep those costumes, but they made real strides when they initially wore them.

I wondered that too. We know space (and in particular Shi'ar space) is going to be important to the X-Men, so would be interesting to move both Adam-X (heir to Majestor D'Ken) and Vulcan (former Shi'ar Emperor) more to the forefront for this. The close proximity to Adam X's re-appearance in X-Factor #5, his 'reveal' in February's X-Men Legends to this storyline makes one wonder if they aren't otherwise orchestrating bringing Adam-X into the Summers family fold...Hickman is a great storyteller and has shown good respect to X-Men history and previous writers' work weaving their work into his storylines. Sinister had to have been referring to Adam-X in House of X/Powers of X's Sinister Secrets given his historical keen interest in Adam (having contracted Arcade to 'test' Adam, and then hands-on spying on Erik the Red spying on Adam (after his adventure with Phillip Summers)).
