I don't think her physical appearance matters all that much given that she can use magic to not only modify her age, but completely reconstruct her body entirely as she sees fit, which is the case whenever her corporeal form "dies" and she self-resurrects. In myths and literature, Morgan has many names, including Morgana, Morgaine and Fata Morgana. Although most of the early stories establish her as human, she is undoubtedly of the Fay and in some accounts has been viewed as an aspect of goddesses like Mordon (Welsh) and the Morrigan (Irish). Marvel, however, hasn't really explored her as being a true goddess. In any event, Morgan is a definite bad-ass who would make life interesting for Doom.

Despite her wicked history, we must never forget that Morgan was one of the women who escorted King Arthur into his paradisiacal afterlife on Avalon. She may be portrayed as evil most of the time, but the woman clearly has a divine quintessence deep down. Can you imagine Doom dying some day, yet opening his eyes just long enough to see Morgan Le Fey ferrying him across the sea of eternal night? Now there's a vision of the future that I can get behind!
That would be a great ending, if they ever did some of those The End one shots again. IIRC the one Doom was in was pretty bizarre. He was featured in Fantastic Four The End and he wound up ruling the Negative Zone. I know he acquired multiple limbs somehow but I'd have to go back and read that. * just glanced at it * The story is that Doom had some horrific injuries from the Mutant Wars (no details on that) and once again, was more machine than human. For most of the series, he and the children are presumed dead. At the end we see them return, except for Doom who we see at the end in front of the cheers of the crowd and holding the head of Annihilus.

I'd have to go look up more of Morgan's appearances over the years but I think that is correct so far. She's only been romantically linked to Doom. They have a little domestic thing going on now in Cantwell's series and I like that they are acting like a couple that have become a bit comfortable with each other. Doom has this history of the quasi - domestic relationships. He gave Wanda a safe place when she was just left to wander Europe in a state of amnesia. Say what you will, she achieved a kind of serenity from the chaos and madness that was House of M and it's aftermath. Unwittingly perhaps. Doom provided a way back from those dark days. I think she legit fell in love out of gratitude but it probably wouldn't have lasted anyway. She had no animosity about it in Heinberg's story but other writers had her turn angry about it. Part of that was because of Axis but I think that anger towards him has become the norm for her. Too bad....I was hoping she would at least be grateful that he kept her from any harm while she was in an amnestic state

    Thanks for finding that BAS

It's like the floodgates have opened up at last. I do have the other Secret Wars Doom from a two pack but I kept him in his packaging. Now if they would only come out with some Doom 2099 figures. Going to post this for the record. I hope you will find them in the stores eventually and not just at the convention

I like that too and as I recall it was used on a T-shirt. It could have been a variant cover I suppose. I don't think I ever tracked that down. It's so cool because it has the emblems of various teams and heroes with Doom holding a Cosmic Cube.

They surprised us this year with the thread reboot and it was done before I had a chance to finish preparing. And I can't edit someone else's post, obviously.

    And a wonderful one!

Loved the posts about Morgan and everyone's last unboxing! I didn't found any other mystery funko pop figures in my LCD, and honestly they're too expensive here for me to spend more money on a random win...

But I found the marvel legends 2020 Doctor Doom! And it's perfect. There was also an Infamous Iron Man in another store, but I'm still hesitating : not much budget and space for that kind of things... And also there's a thing. I mean: there's The Thing!

Another gorgeous Marvel Legends figure. So impressive that I couldn't help myself and brought it home along with Victor. Ben and Vic together at my place.

As foes... or friends : I plan to expose them each one at one side of a bottle of scotch- the same one Maleev used for the design of the bottle in Infamous Iron Man. I keep an empty one because it was bottled the day of my 40 years. A perfect place for the two guys to meet and celebrate!

Btw, tomorrow's issue of Savage Avengers is fine! I really liked it.

Thanks Rodney! I always regretted not buying that shirt. I have been so disappointed in my trips to C2E2 ....none of the vendors had any Doom shirts, and hardly any Fantastic Four for that matter. I'm going to have to keep an eye out for that one popping up somewhere on eBay.

I love the current storyline. The trio of Victor, Stephen and Conan really are surprisingly entertaining.

That sounds like such a neat idea for a display of The Thing and Doom. I hope you take a picture! I've seen the Thing now in stores and I was also tempted by the Reed figure. No Susan or Johnny though. There was a Sue figure that was out the same time as Infamous Iron Man but I didn't care for the sculpt. Another cute Funko is the regular sized Johnny put only with his fists in flames. It's an exclusive at Hot Topic. I guess we were all so deprived of new merchandise for years that you just want to go out and buy all of it. For now I have my Namor and Doom Marvel legends on the bookshelf where I have a lot of my Marvel TPBs. I also have my regular sized Funko Doom there with them. Luckily GameStop has the mini mysteries for only $4.99 and I just picked up the last 2 at the store in the mall. But we have many of these stores in my area to tap into.

Just in case, I signed up for the club on Funko's website. I'm hoping that if the God Emperor is a convention exclusive that maybe there is a chance they will offer it on to club members on the website. Worth a chance and signing up is free. Just have to put up with their emails I guess.

I tried to find the shirt today myself, couldn't find it on the web at all. Except for one post but it listed the shirt as sold out. Total bummer!

I do have several Doom shirts. The first one I got was the famous parody one of Doom riding a unicorn. It's getting a bit faded. It was created by the WeLoveFine site, which had a variety of artists contributing. The site changed hands I think. But they do have it at another site called Leading T-Shirts I like how you can build a shirt here. I picked out the baseball raglan and I think I may order that one. Here are the two other shirts I have. One is the cover from a mini series 1984 and it had one hero cover and one villain cover. The artists in Jim Cheung and I think this is one of his early works for Marvel. The T-shirt is called Villains United. Every so often that one shows up on eBay. The second one is called Absolutum Dominium and it derives from a FF cover

Here is the comic book cover of FF #13. I wore the the T shirt one year to C2 E2 when Jonathan Hickman was appearing there (he's booked in again this year) and he liked this shirt and asked me where I got it. It was WeLoveFine, but as I mentioned, that site changed and you can't find it there anymore.

Yes, hopefully they release it later to the general public.

Funko has the worst convention sale setup imaginable. Everything's limited - and you have to join an online lottery in advance of the show to get assigned a time to go to their booth. At NYCC a couple of years ago -- I got assigned a late afternoon Saturday slot. The show opened on Thursday. By Saturday, the booth was nearly wiped clean. And the crowd to get in line when your time is called -- it's like Black Friday shopping when the stores open at 5am.

That sounds terrible. What is the point of that if you get assigned a late slot and then everything is picked over. Crazy! I am hoping that joining their club online will maybe help. Do they let you order these convention exclusives online sometime later?

Most of the time the comic con exclusives end up being shared at certain retailers, both in store and on-line. I assume either Hot Topic or Gamestop will get this one, as they get most of the Marvel ones

Well today I finally ordered Doom..., off of Amazon. I genuinely can’t tell if around here Eel is all that impressive or if literally nobody wants him.

I don’t think I ever posted this but I own a Doom mask!
    image.jpg

I bought it at a convention when I was still in college for around 100 dollars. Wearable and yes real metal though I assume steel I can be very wrong. There was a gold colored version as well but I never bought it. It’s a shame that I never got the guy’s information so I can get another or suggest people buy his work (if it even was the sellers).

This one was from when I was in college and I got really bored. Basically I got snowed in and made a bunch of cardboard recreations of comic stuff with Doom being one of them.

I love seeing everybody's Doom memorabilia and stuff. Keep it coming everyone! Those masks came out pretty good.

The only issue I have with the Marvel Legends Doom is it is really hard for me to switch out the hands and the head for some reason. I think I will just have to work on them slowly to loosen them up a bit. I like the modern style mask and keeping that one on for now. But it is the best one so far of all the figures I have.
